Olive Oil Retreat

The season of olive picking on Korčula island of Croatia is here again, whoohoo! This precious fruits are getting softer and turning violet more and more each day. It is the time when the whole island wakes up early to go to the vast olive tree fields and squeeze the juicy green gold into big bottles for endless gourmet moments.

Past two years only two of us were picking them and it took a lot of time. We also got asked by Nicole's parents to help them out in their fields as well since they are not so vital any more. And we want to invite you to come help us out, while enjoying sunny, peaceful and tourist-free Korčula - October and November are so beautiful down there in Dalmatian seaside. <3

We would need help as soon as possible and this is what we can offer to you if you come:
- a place to put your tent among olive trees (it is still warm there, temperatures at night rarely go below 15 degrees and the place is really sunny)
** there is also an option to rent apartments from Nicole's relatives for very cheap
*** in case you would come with a camper van, we can also find some nice spots for you
- basic camping kitchen on the field
- place to take a warm shower
- shared meals that we prepare together
- some bottles of oil to take home with you and enjoy it (1-3L of oil per day of help, depending on the harvest and speed we pick)
- parking beside the road of olive field

You would have to organize the trip to Korčula by yourself, the best way is to drive to Pelješac and take a short ferry to the island. We are looking for 4 people maximum at once. So if you are genuinely interested in picking olives (it will be fun and peaceful work with nature in nature, but a lot of it) and feel a calling, write to us in PM.
