Hope

The painting carries a story that has been dragging on since winter. Feelings of anxiety, the feeling that I have to do something but I don’t know exactly what, tightness in my chest.. how much despair hidden in my chest I found when my feelings pushed me to go and look deeper. I gave in to despair so many times as a child, and feelings of emptiness, feelings of loneliness.

Finding light requires to go and look into the darkness. It’s not pleasant. It usually feels like the end of the world and that I’m dying. That’s how it is inside me. Walls are crumbling, illusions are falling.. and I am in deep vulnerability, like when I was little. it’s all too much.. when I have been there for a while, the feelings that were released, give space to something new. A feeling of hope and renewed confidence in myself came.

When I finished the painting, the transformation of these feelings also ended with this. These processes make the painting unique and energetically charged with codes of transformation. They weren’t just for me, they were created for many.
