SuryaRay Lab

I am Klemen Orešnik, a multidisciplinary artist from Slovenia and a curious person who embarked on a journey of exploring the vastness of the cosmos, the depths of life, and the simple magnificence of the human experience. Inspired by nature and influenced by the intricate diversity of Creation, I express this through visionary art, creative alchemy workshops, intuitive music, and ambient light sculptures under the shared universe of SuryaRay Lab of Creative Alchemy.

SURYARAY VISIONS

It all started with few mystical and life changing experiences when I was around 20 and still studying graphic design. They brought colour into my life and reminded me that I am always a part of everything. Suddenly I changed the whole trajectory of my life, attuning it more to what wants to come through me naturally - creation through analogue artforms and exploring creative potential in any form. First drawing and painting emerged as a way to map my experience of reality, unconsciously at that time. Slowly, creative expression led me to a deeper understanding of life needed for evolution and pushed me from introverted hermit mode to being open to expand and show up into the world authentically. My visual language blends archetypal symbolism, nature-inspired imagery, and inner exploration.

Beyond visual art, I have organized and co-led music and arts events and conscious festivals, and facilitated creative workshops rooted in self-expression and community building. I have worked as a festival organizer (Mystic Mountain, Ancient Connections Gathering), decoration team leader (Magma festival), and workshop facilitator, integrating spatial aesthetics, ritual, and collective experience.

SURYARAY LAMPS

During corona times, I needed to balance my etheric visionary art with more grounded artform and so I once stumbled upon a beautiful piece of wild wood who invited me to create the first SuryaRay Lamp - unique handcrafted ambient light sculpture made of wild wood and rice paper. This has become a big passion of mine - creating something more than just decorative objects, these sculptures embody transformation and natural diversity and serve as subtle reminders of our deep connection to nature. 

CREATIVE ALCHEMY JOURNEYS

After ten years of inner work and exploring various creative modalities (drawing, painting, handcrafting, woodworking, creative writing, photographing, dancing, making music and poetry), I realized how profoundly therapeutic and liberating creativity is and how each one of us carries a potential to explore oneself through creativity. It is our birth right to be conscious creators and creatives. And so my latest passion emerged - organising intuitive painting journeys where we all enter a non-judgemental safe space of limitless potential unobstructed by rational mind and explore our inner worlds through painting. I am also offering 1 on 1 creative alchemy sessions that are tailored just for you personally.

Through this evolving path, I weave together art, sound, craftsmanship, and community, creating artifacts and spaces that invite expanded awareness and deeper connection with oneself, with others, and with the living world.
