Inka Panchito - an Andean musician in Slovenia

Inka Panchito - andski glasbenik v Sloveniji

Francisco Soto, known as Inka Panchito, is a Peruvian musician who creates soothing music with the quena and Andean melodies in Slovenia.

Inka Panchito, whose real name is Francisco Soto, comes from Peru, from the area of Lake Titicaca and the island of Amantani. He began his musical journey as a street musician and today lives and creates in Slovenia.

His signature sound is shaped by the quena - a traditional Andean flute - and the pan flute. He plays soothing, "medicinal" music in which gentle melodies blend with the sounds of nature, inviting the listener to relax and find calm.

Alongside original Andean instrumentals such as the Ecos de los Andes, Ecos de los Mares and Ecos de la Selva series, he also plays covers of Slovenian and Croatian songs (Cesarica, Ne čakaj na maj, La Paloma) and collaborates with local musicians, including Tjaša Turk, Maruša Naijer, Lila and the band Tri brade.

Inka Panchito appeared on the Slovenian television show Križ kraž with Miša Molk, and performed El Condor Pasa together with the Vrhnika Symphony Orchestra. Beyond music, he also runs the Shaman Shop, offering Andean instruments.
